Jay Waterman was involved in baseball his entire life, beginning with his excelling in little league.

When his son turned 4 years of age, Jay began coaching, and for the next 8 years, Jay coached both local league and travel.  His son Brett is shown accepting the Hall of Fame Plaque from Bill Slifkin.

In 1994 Jay became the Bethel Baseball treasurer and continued until illness forced his retirement in 2016. He handled all the financial aspects for Bethel, including the hiring and scheduling for both Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth Baseball.

In addition, Jay was the 'go-to' person for the annual Al Leonard Invitational Jimmy Fund Tournament. He did it all, ranging from umpires, concessions, etc. for the 100 games.

Jay also ran numerous district, state, and reg ional tournaments in the same professional manner.

Thank you, Jay Waterman, posthumously, for all your hard work for so many years.
